How It Works

Browse our collection of virtual design kits and select a kit that fits your project goals. Each kit comes with a coordinating flooring, cabinet color, countertop and backsplash option as well as suggested paint, plumbing, hardware and lighting accessories. A list of materials with clickable links to the products page is included, making ordering samples and getting more information easy.

Mix and Match different kits to help you decide what style and color palette is the best fit for your style and project needs.

Once you purchase your virtual kits you will receive a link to download the PDF files. The link will expire after 24 hours so be sure to download the file as soon as you receive it!

How to Use The Compass Virtual Design Kits

Use the links provided to learn more about the material on the manufacturer’s website. Verify that the suggested material is suitable for your needs and application.

Order samples through the manufacturer’s website. Samples are based on manufacture availability. If a sample is out of stock, please reach out to the manufacturer’s Customer Service Department and let us know as soon as possible so that we can update our boards.

When you receive your samples, place them all together to get a complete look and feel for the design board you selected. Place them in the space that you plan to use them.

View the sample in various lighting to get an understanding of how it will look in different settings.

If you are working with a contractor, share the information and determine quantity, cost, lead time and pricing for your specific project. If you are DIYing, make sure to reach out to the manufacturer or one of their distributors for this information.

What to do if an item is Out of Stock or Discontinued?

We do our best to only use products on our virtual kits that are in stock and available, however, manufacturer inventory can often change and fluctuate. If a specific item on the virtual design kit is out of stock or discontinued, please reach out to us right away and we will help to find a suitable alternative for the product in that kit.
